The University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and Seneca Nation Health has launched the Native American Pre-Dental Student Gateway Program to introduce Native American students to careers in dentistry.
The initiative exposes students to various aspects of the profession through a weeklong internship that includes hands-on clinical training, an oral surgery boot camp, and a tour of local oral health product manufacturers. They also received guidance on applying to dental school and an introduction to dental specialties.
